I made the sounds using an fm synthesis patch on the ios application "addictive synth" on my ipod touch and recorded the audio within the app. No post-processing was done to the audio. Native instruments battery3 was triggered by explosion of fireworks. I recorded fireworks and change it into midi notes with logic 7. Smaller signals are played by edirol sd-80 triggered by ambient noises around me.
